Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Mu chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha proudly represents our philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness on Drury University’s campus. We raise funds and awareness for our philanthropy in multiple ways. Below are just a few of the ways that our chapter promotes our philanthropy on campus and in our community.
Queso for a Cure
Zetas at 2017 Queso for a Cure
On October 11th, 2017, we held our third annual Queso for a Cure Contest. During the event, teams compete to earn the coveted title of "Best Queso in Springfield" as attendees vote for their favorites. This year, there were over 20 teams (from various student organizations) who made crockpots full of delicious queso to be judged. Simultaneously, attendees could bid on raffle items provided by our generous donors. The event was a smashing success and raised just under $2,000 for the ZTA Foundation.
Think Pink Week

Zeta Tau Alpha holds Think Pink Week in October. During this week, we get Drury's campus involved and aware of our philanthropy by distributing as many pink ribbons as possible and giving away pink lemonade in cups decorated with facts geared towards breast cancer awareness and prevention.
Big Man on Campus
Every year, we host an event called Big Man on Campus (BMOC). Male contestants from various organizations compete to earn the title of "Big Man on Campus." During the competition, the men participate in three segments: formal-wear, talent, and a combined group dance. In addition to these segments, a guest speaker talks to the audience about her own personal experience with breast cancer and how she overcame these challenges.
